A uniquely brilliant bon vivant healthcare tech entrepreneur, who became a dear friend through the process, we first met Stark Tower’s client when designing his company’s headquarters years prior while working at Gensler. The task for his Astor Place bachelor pad was to embody his colorful yet meticulous lifestyle within the space, fusing a Japanese minimalist aesthetic with idiosyncratic tastes and scientific curiosity. Every gesture was both purposeful in its personal relationship with the residence’s inhabitant and practical in its attempt to create ultimate order through geometry and proportion. The entry painting was contributed by another dear friend, the artist Markus Linnenbrink.
