Casa Kenwood was a storied bungalow in Travis Heights, a historic neighborhood off of South Congress Ave in Austin TX.  We purchased the home in shambles from a local artist we had befriended while working on a hotel project nearby.  Despite the condition at the time of acquisition we acknowledged the house’s unique architectural quality.  Having an incredible ratio of glazing to square footage, windows placed strategically to allow light to pass through the span of house, the interior experience was bathed in light with framed views of tree canopies beyond.  We engaged in a comprehensive renovation, leaving nothing but the fireplace painting by the previous owner in place.  We curated and designed a number of eccentric furniture and art pieces and brought over an original Hotel St. Cecilia sofa from our nearby project.  The project was sold in 2021.
